The following article explores the construction of identity that are formed in relation to the process of teaching and learningin in educational and specifically in artistic education. The article shows a crossing experiences, the need to work on the issue of gender identity in the educational context, either using the subject of art education as a critical knowledge to the social practices of students or delving into the construction of teacher identity to his experiences as teachers themselves. In this article, we try to visualize the influence that this has had and is having on our world settings, people and current educational model. This is not a speech only for people who at some time have been able to live a confrontation between the biological, the psychological and the social, but of all the people we've stopped to think about the norm and diversity. Two classroom experiences, one in high school and tone in college, lead us to a meeting where we share issues that concern us and are addressed through proposals in art education. A research project is part of the beginning of the story and a thesis project continued educational inquiry.
